Frequently Asked Questions:

Our space is a 4000 square foot, open-concept design clinic. As former athletes who spent many fond hours in training rooms bonding with our team-mates, we want to create a community atmosphere where like-minded individuals can work toward success.  We feel that community is fostered by promoting positive interactions between clients.  We encourage clients to talk to each other, share stories, motivate each other, be respectful of one another, and help create a positive experience for everyone around you.  We are respectful of situations where privacy is necessary or preferred, and we will do our best to accommodate treatment in one of our private rooms when possible.

Please bring gym clothing that allows your therapist to see the area to be treated (i.e. shorts for knee, tank top for shoulder, etc.) and appropriate footwear for movement.  If you have seen your doctor before coming in, please bring your physiotherapy referral. Also bring copies of any relevant medical test results (i.e. x-rays, MRI, ultrasound). Most importantly, please bring a positive attitude and a willingness to work.

Physiotherapy Assessment: 60 minutes
The initial assessment consists of taking a thorough history of your injury, and a complete examination to figure out the root of your condition. We always try to get you started with treatment as soon as possible.

Physiotherapy 2nd Session: 60 minutes
Visit 2 gives your therapist the opportunity to re-assess and for you to provide feedback on the effects of the assessment. We will provide treatment as well as get you comfortable with your movement program.

Physiotherapy Sessions: 60 / 45 / 30 minutes
Your therapist will recommend 30, 45 or 60 minute follow-up appointments depending on the nature of your condition. You will be in the clinic for as long as is needed to complete your treatment program, under the direct supervision of your therapist.

General Massage Therapy: 30/45 / 60 minutes
Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.

Active Release Technique (A.R.T.): 20 / 30 minutes
A patented movement-based massage technique that treats issues with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. A.R.T. treats abnormal tissues by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements.

We do accept Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) cases. We are an FSCO licensed provider, meaning we can accept payment directly from the body governing your MVA claim. MVA Assessments are not bookable online, as we would like to discuss the logistics with you prior to booking. Please contact us to set up your initial assessment.

As with the majority of physiotherapy clinics in Ontario, we are a private clinic and are not eligible to bill OHIP for physiotherapy services. Extended health plans provide varying amounts of yearly physiotherapy coverage.

A doctor’s referral is not required in order to be treated by a physiotherapist. However, when you submit to your extended health care plan, the insurer may require a doctor’s referral for reimbursement.
