WHAT IS osteopathy?
Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN) defines osteopathy as “a manual therapy that includes joint mobilization and soft-tissue treatment in order to restore your body’s ability to self-heal and regulate. Knowing that your body functions as a unit and that health is holistic, your practitioner will apply various osteopathic techniques and principles to increase motion capacity and symmetry.”
Here’s a simpler way to think of Osteopathy:
“a gentle hands-on therapy that aims to improve your mobility, relieve pain, and promote overall wellness.”
